There should be intercompany posting ability in AR and CM. Anywhere that you can record a GL entry you should be able to post that entry to another company. There is no way to do this in AR or CM. You also should be able to do transfers in CM between bank accounts in different companies.

The lack of intercompany functionality in CM creates double work & inconsistancy in procedures between modules for intercompany transactions.
I have also found the I/C functionality in MAS to be very weak. For the issue above I have set-up a separate Bank Acct in CM to acct for Customer payments received by Head-Office from divisional Customers.
I/C functionality should include the ability to post I/C project transactions as well.
This is mandatory for any customer running multiple companies. Very common to transfer funds between multiple company bank accounts to pay off interco balances etc.
I also agree. Every time there is a deposit or need for an invoice it causes double work to enter due to entering in one company to keep it all in one place and then doing an intercompany journal entry to post to the correct company and account.
We could use this feature yesterday, we are constantly doing intercompany transactions every day. We are using a work around as A/R doesn't have this functionality.
This would be a great time saver for our companies.
We really need this functionality. With this many votes, why hasn't this been put in a planned status?
