If we could specify a maximum count of items on a Physical Count we could much easier maintain our requirements for regular physical counts and make sure that we cover all items in inventory.
The normal selection logic is not sufficient for selecting from a vast array of similar parts, there are still too many hits (or the same hits) no matter what normal selection logic is used.
The only change to the select items for physical count task would be to enable the selection of a maximum count number and then enforce that in the SQL that is created for selection of parts. The user could set the maximum to 0 or unselect a check box if they did NOT want to limit the selection logic to a specific number.

I would also like to see more options for selecting items to count. We manually keep a spreadsheet of the high volume high cost items. We haven't found a rank that would work.
