With the move to cloud computing, many companies are finding benefit in using email systems such as GMail for thier business. However, the current versions of MAS 500's document transmittal cannot be configured to use systems such as these. Recommend enhancing Document Transmittal so it can support email systems such as GMail.

• Novell Groupwise would be good as well - or yes secure smtp server - we are finding lots of clients email systems are stipping the attachments off and/or rejecting the message altogether - it's becoming more cumbersome than helpful.

  Sage 500 ERP 2019 PU 3 supports SMTP configuration and TLS 1.2
  
  Sage 500 ERP 2019 RTM support SMTP, but not TLS 1.2
  
  Sage 500 ERP 2018 PU 6 supports SMTP configuration and TLS 1.2
  
  Sage 500 ERP 2018 PU supports SMTP configuration but not TLS 1.2
  
  Note that if certain methods such as Gmail use 2FA, they may need additional configuration on the mail side. For example, Gmail may require the set up of an Application password and use that password for the sending process.
