In standard MAS 90/200 you are able to issue materials/costs/labor etc. without the material/issue/labor every being on the original work order.

In 500, the step first has to be added to the work order. While it can be completed from within the entry (that is to say material or other issue) it is cumbersome to do so.

Ideally, the user could click on a button and the system would allow them to add the information (then create the step etc behind the scene.
