I have read many posts online some dating back to 2009 requesting an X64 bit Schema browser for MAS 500. Let's get the ball rolling on this one! I hate switching servers simply to view a schema browser.

  • Is this really that hard to do? Am I ignorant for thinking this could be done in a week?

  • It appears this two year delay is causing openings for third parties to make some cash. http://www.erptoolbelt.com/

  • Is it possible to have a moderator explain the difficulty with this? My company is now sourcing third party applications for something that does come out of the box in the mostly 64X compatible ERP system.

  • I agree, crazy this isn't available yet.

  • What's worse is the Schema Browser is a 16-bit application.

  • Good Grief -- we are in the 21st. century -- make is 64, or even 32!

  • We just got the tool from Hugo that Adam mentioned above (http://www.erptoolbelt.com/). Just send an email to the address on the website. The pricing was very reasonable. I am running it on my x64 bit laptop and it works fine. It uses the same exact descriptions from the old schema browser but includes some additional functionality.

  • Maybe Sage should buy the tool from Hugo?

  • I agree... this looks like an awesome product. Sage really needs to take a close look at this.

  • I second that motion..but knowing the speed of Sage management to incorporate 3rd party ISV solutions into MAS 500 it may be a while before the wheels of start turning on this..

  • I too am shocked this has not been addressed yet. Schema Browser in MAS 500 is one of its most powerful "pros". Sage - Please address so we don't have to buy a 3rd party product to replace functionality we've had for 6+ years with MAS 500.

  • It looks like 7.4 includes the schema browser as explorer views under "System Manager -> Schema Browser". I like it! Since it's in explorer, you can easily drag the columns around, filter, etc. which makes the schema browser much more interactive than the old one. Since the MAS 500 client can run on x64, as far as I'm concerned, this request could be marked as completed.
