Currently in MAS 500, when a developer creates a new .NET MAS 500 task, the MAS 500 Framework will attempt to create the State of the Art registry folders that were used in older versions of MAS 500 if they do not exist. The Framework will do this whether the new MAS 500 .NET task needs access to these entries or not. On a Windows 7 machine, errors can occur when the Framework attempts to create these registry entries.

As most MAS 500 developers will most likely not be using the old State of the Art registry folders, it is recommended that an option be provided in the MAS 500 Framework that the developer can set if they wish to have the State of The Art registry folders created if they do not already exist on the client machine.
