From a sales and a cost of sales perspective, would like to have the ability to track where the goods will end up (Sales Territory? Destination?) within the General Ledger in addition to the existing tracking of where the goods came from (Warehouse). Another perspective would be the ability to track the sales region responsible for the sale within the GL transaction, independent of which warehouse is responsible for shipping the goods.
Our corporate culture dictates that this type of analysis be done within the GL. We currently have a source code customization in place to handle this situation but would prefer to have it be part of the base system.
