I would like to see more item status options. We have a need to flag items that will be discontinued in a few weeks or months but we don't want the system to stop us from making or selling them. We may even want to order a minimal amount on a purchase order to get us to the actual discontinued date. When using MRP you should be able to exclude/allow these items from purchase order generation.

I would also like to see a "Pre-Active" status that allows you to put items on a bom/routing, do a cost roll, and get the basic item setup done without making the item active and having the ability to transact the item before it is really ready.
We have the need to have a status where we can enter the item but you can only see it to create purchase orders. We often enter have the need to enter new items for purchase planning prior to an announcement that we will offer the item.
