PREVENT posting of transactions to prior CLOSED periods / CLOSED modules

If a module is closed (i.e. Inventory, A/R, A/P, etc.), transactions should not be allowed to be posted to it. This is a common feature in most systems. Currently, in MAS500, you just receive a warning, but it does not stop you from posting. Unfortunately, this warning gets routinely ignored.

  • The closing can be done from: GL>GL Setup>Set up Fiscal Calendar. You have to close one period at a time.

  • Search for "Hard close of sub-ledger fiscal periods" to see if this meets this need. If it does, then the enhancement is being worked on for a future release.
