Currently, there is no way to recalculate the cost of a BTO kit. This is important because of component cost changes that affect the total cost of the kit.

I haven't found that the system (500 v7.4) allows the user to put any kind of cost on a BTO Kit. It would be very handy to have a standard cost in place because we use matrix pricing and all of our prices are a markup of cost (either standard or average). Without a cost in place, the Sales Order line does not default in a price when the BTO Kit is sold. This slows down the salesperson. To get around this, redundant Product Price Groups had to be created and BTO Kit pricing was set up as a discount of list price.
