Our mail host has switched to requiring authentication for all outgoing mail, and as such our document transmittal function has ceased to work. If I had the ability to change the SMTP port, I could use another mail server, if I had the ability to enable authentication, I could use our mail server. Unfortunately, neither of the options are available in MAS 500 7.4. PLEASE ADD!!!

I believe this capability was added to our Sage 500 ERP version 2018.
Sage 500 ERP 2021 RTM support SMTP configuration and TLS 1.2.
Sage 500 ERP 2019 PU 3 supports SMTP configuration and TLS 1.2
Sage 500 ERP 2019 RTM support SMTP, but not TLS 1.2
Sage 500 ERP 2018 PU 6 supports SMTP configuration and TLS 1.2
Sage 500 ERP 2018 PU supports SMTP configuration but not TLS 1.2
Note that if certain methods such as Gmail use 2FA, they may need additional configuration on the mail side. For example, Gmail may require the set up of an Application password and use that password for the sending process.
