Version 7.5 replaced the "F6" refresh shortcut with "Ctrl+Shift+R" in the BI Explorer screens in order to be consistent with other areas of the system.

I'm requesting that "F6" become the standard shortcut for refresh throughout the system because it's MUCH easier to use.

Comments

  • Even Bill Gates says 3 in 1 keystroke conbinations are not the way to go. I rather use one button to make the refresh happen.

  • I second that. Why not change the CTRL-SHIFT-R combination to be in line with F6? I'll bet someone just read an email backwards and made the opposite change :)
    Yes, please standardize to F6!!

  • Agreed, a three button combo is cumbersome and quite inefficient.

  • Ctrl+SHIFT+R isn't a natural keystroke... F6 was much more efficient, and perhaps should replace the CTRL+SHIFT+R combo on other lookup screens.

  • Just converted and still having hard time letting go. I continue to press F6 and wait until I realize nothing is happening. Please bring it back.

  • Are they bringing back the F6? Clients are not happy!

  • Bring back F6 and don't over-ride Crtl-C and other standard windows shortcut keys.

  • YES BRING BACK F6 MUCH MORE EFFICIENT

  • Bring back the F6! Why would you think making a function require more key presses would be an improvement?

Hurting the users efficiency cannot be seen as a good thing can it?

  • Yes please - F6 rules!!

  • We just upgraded from 7.4 (to 2016) and - WHAM!!! - F6 is Gone!!! We want it back. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZ?????
