Many customers today do not want to have to pre-authorize a credit card transactions when a sales order is created. In fact they would like the ability to pre-authorize multiple credit cards at the same time.
Prior to Sage 500 7.3, Sage 500 PSG use to sell a Credit Card module for the product that allowed for this. When Sage Payment services was implemented in Sage 500 7.3, Sage did not a include a task to do bulk pre-authorizations like the Sage PSG add-in had.
Until Sage 2013 and the use of Sage Exchange, 3rd party developers such as E2BTek have filled this void with a custom solution that allowed customers to do bulk pre-authorizations in Sage 500 using coding methods and routines Sage made available. However, with the addition of Sage Exchange in Sage 500 2013, Sage no longer provides a method within their code to allow pre-authorization to occur without displaying the Sage Exchange forms, so these 3rd party Bulk Pre-Authorization add-ins no longer function.
As many customers have a need for this type of task and use the 3rd party Pre-authorization add-ins from previous versions of Sage 500, it is recommend that Sage add a Bulk Credit Card Pre-Authorization task to the Credit Card processing Module.
