While the first six digits of the Commodity Code are universal, the last four digits of a ten digit code can be specific to the country involved. For example, an item may be 8481.90.00.10 under Canadian tariffs but 8481.90.30.00 under US tariffs.

In order to properly handle this situation, one would have to be able to set the Commodity Code on an Item/Country combination (instead of the single box on the Maintain Item screen) and have the correct code default on shipping documentation based on the Country of the shipping address.

This would be a valuable feature for anyone shipping product to multiple destination countries where at least one of those countries uses the more specific 10 digit code.
