Add feature to add any number of documents to a SPECIFIC record, such as customer, vendor or project.

A business case would be to add electronic files of executed contracts to customers and projects, or completed W-9 files to vendor records.

Currently the Sage 500 Office feature does not support record-specific attachments. All files added are available to any record of the same type.

  • To clarify - Even though there is a way to add record-specific files via the Memo function, it's very limited. Only one file or URL can be added. Ideally, a record should support unlimited number of attachments.

  • There are a number of document management add-ons, although the limitation in memos to the single date, single file attachment methodology is a bit frustrating. Customizer can come in handy with a little thought and some quick shell code.
