Additional fields (number of containers, quantity per container, etc.) are required to support KANABAN processing. Additionally, a replenishment function that took these into account is needed. The replenishment could be for a work center or a general product threshold (external supplier).

This is a good idea! We use that information in STOLOCAFF, but when the stock at the location go under the repleishment point, the system do nothing. It could generate a "repleishment order" that ask the warehouse operator to refill the box.
