Today X3 supports a few different product ordering capabilities such as UPC and customer specific product numbers. However, in some industries additional flexibility is required. In addition to those mentioned, the need to specify 1 to many product alias is needed. This feature should be present in the sales side (quotes, orders, contracts, deliveries, invoicing) functions. The aliases are simply a list of "other" numbers by which the product can be referenced. Having this type of format would allow you to load competitor part numbers and easily take an order by converting to your equivalent.
