Presently when a product has multiple suppliers from where the product can be purchased, when MRP is run and purchase order suggestions are generated, the supplier chosen is governed by the supplier with the lowest priorty setting (ITMBPS.PIO).
A nice enhancement would be the creation of a function that would run through the purchase price books for the product/suppliers and then set a default supplier field for the lowest cost supplier for the product. This field would in part would be referenced by the MRP process to choose the supplier.

Another idea would be a function to update the supplier ranking based on past delivery and pricing, and have another function to set the default supplier to the one with highest ranking. The reason being the supplier with lowest price isn't necessary always the most preferred one.
