Quotes are often modified during the negotiation process. The ability to track revisions (just like sales orders) is needed. This will allow a sales rep or sales manager to view the activity associated with a quote leading up to the final revision.

Another nice enhancement for the sales quotes would be the ability to perform detail or global allocations against them. It is a common practice for many organizations to reserve inventory for a customer as the time that the quote is generated.
