The control tables are useful for assigning entry rules to fields in a screen. It would be a nice enhancement if one of the options would be to enforce a unique value in a field.

Two common applications for this that we oftentimes encounter is to make the customer reference number unique when entering a sales order. Another is to have the supplier document number unique on a AP invoice.
