At present the system allows for four lot compliment fields (User Field 1, User Field 2, Rubrique 3c and Rubrique 4d. It would be helpful if this number could be expanded (it is common in the metals industry to have many additional lot characteristics that the client wants to capture alloy, gage, width, length, country of origin, various %, etc). If the user could also define the data type associated with each of these compliment fields that would also be helpful (we did a test by changing the data type on Rubrique 4d which is a date type and we ran into a lot of system errors). Also from a setup perspective has there ever been any consideration to moving the setup of these lot compliment element from the entry transactions to the product master/product site?

Inventory->QC->Lot Modifications -> Characteristics Change
