Typically if a user opens a record and clicks on a field, the record is then locked. It would be better if there is an action to edit, this way a user can open a record and review (similar to read only page) but only when a change is required they would need to click on edit then make changes.

This will prevent the number of record locks.

• I would love this feature if it was a system toggle option. Some cultures want to edit records instantly, others are used to systems that require them to click an update button first.
