I never came across an ERP that combined A/P and A/R. Out of the box they should be separated out on the menu. Functions that are in common like payment proposal need to be separated out and preset/defined to respective area (a/p or a/r). A/P accounting shouldn't be touching A/R not A/R A/P from an accounting control standpoint. Having them combined as they are creates a lot of development work to separate them out as they should be.
