The current audit trail method is report based. A report has to be run and the item searched for in numerous pages. A very beneficial alternate that would apply to almost all users would be a spreadsheet based audit trail view. It would help if all audit trail information for an item could be viewed by selecting the quantity in the Takeoff Quantity column and then right clicking or accessing a menu choice. It could function similar to the Detail Window where a dialog or message box or grid pops up and shows audit information for that item only.

It would be far easier to check the source of quantities that have been calculated or to find what has changed over time. These are important and frequent tasks in reviewing estimates. It will improve speed, accuracy and confidence.
