Description:
Currently, Sage 100 Contractor restricts users to one change order (other other) window at a time and under 3–5, does not allow navigating between tabs at the bottom of the screen. This limitation makes it difficult to efficiently work across multiple change orders or forms at once.
Proposed Enhancement:
Allow users to open and navigate between multiple change orders, purchase orders, or other forms at the same time—similar to how browser tabs function. Ideally, users should be able to:
• Open multiple instances of the same type of form (e.g., several change orders) simultaneously.
• Switch between these open forms with ease, without having to close or save one before accessing another.
• View and cross-reference open windows without losing data entry progress or needing to re-navigate menus.
Value to Users:
• Increases productivity by allowing multitasking during complex or large-scale projects.
• Streamlines workflows by supporting side-by-side comparisons or data entry.
• Reduces the need for redundant navigation and rework when handling multiple items.
This improvement would significantly enhance the user experience for project managers, administrators, and accounting teams who often juggle several forms and transactions concurrently.
