Many businesses issue benefits based on the hire date, review date or anniversary date rather than on a calendar year basis. Payroll should be able to accommodate this type of benefit accrual.
Currently, the benefit year is reset at the calendar year end and offers no flexibility.

If you don't update MAS payroll, this is still a valuable feature for any replacement payroll product.
Abra is a product that has advanced payroll features.
I agree - I've always thought that MAS 90 should have the ability to have a "benefits eligibility date" to accomodate employees moving from part time to full time etc.
This is a MAJOR need. It's ridiculous that MAS 90 doesn't provide this option. I am currently looking at other payroll processing options because of the amount of time I spend adjusting for this lack of functionality.
You hit it right on the head Mandi - we have been researching other software as well because the amount of time spent creating your own reports and using "manual" methods to track issues like this is just not worth the effort anymore when there are so many other products that have these capabilities built into them right out of the box.
I have a client that also manually handles this because Mas90 does not. They were hoping when they upgraded this year that this would have be included.
I just upgrade to Mas 90 4.5 and am very disappointed that the vacation is not based on anniversary hire date. I will be looking for a different product. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
It says that this upgrade is planned. When? We have a new sick leave law going into effect on 7/1/2017 and we need to have the benefits reset on the date of hire. We do NOT want benefits reset at the end of the year. I have spoken to other businesses and their accounting systems offer the ability to do this. Please, let me know when this will be implemented. We are currently shopping systems and I would prefer to stick to Sage 100 and not have to go through a change. Thanks!
