Items could still be there but hidden from view to make the inventory items list not as long.

  • Same with Item List in sales order entry or Purchase order entry. Need to hide items so users can not select.

  • You can set items to "Discontinued" and then filter your ALE lookup to hide discontinued items.

  • In many firms, "discontinued" is not the same as "inactive."

  • shouldn't need to be done with customizer. Very simple enhancement. IMHO

  • Extended enhancement IM-1244 is scheduled to add this functionality till Q1 of 2011. Repriortize enhancement timeframe to earlier. Should have been incorporated into the MAS 4.4 upgrade.
