Presently, you can only transform the quote into a standard order. Why not a Recurring, Master or Back Order also???? I have clients that have requested all three. I don't see any rhyme or reason to this restriction.

Field validations and required fields are different between the various order types. To make this work, they'd have to build in programming to handle each FROM/TO combination, which is 25 different "change" scenarios. Seems like lots of programming work for a small payoff?
It is only a small payoff if you happen not to use it! If MAS is about being flexible, this is one way to be flexible. Another issue that I didn't post was converting a Quote to SO, you cannot turn it into a backorder so that the back order fill report prints in PO receipts. Another client has requested that. It may indeed be "too much work" as one Sage employee has stated. But that isn't our problem! Let's throw the ideas at the wall and see which ones stick. One small step for MAS programmers, a giant leap for MAS kind!
The back order fill report has been enhanced to allow you to print these items on it now. So you should able to change a quote to a standard order type and still see the lines from it on the Backorder Fill Report.
