Provide a flag in the customization of user lookups to hide a field from the selection when a user customizes their lookups.
A specific example is the SSN field in Vendor Inquiry Lookup. We have users that have access to the lookups that should not be able to see the vendor social security numbers. I can customize the MAS screen to hide the field, but cannot hide the field from the user lookup. While I can lock down the lookup, I do not want to as my users use the lookups as a way to create ad-hoc reports. Otherwise, I would have to generate a long list of one-time reports just to get them info that is readily available to them.
This is a security issue for us and I would imagine for others as well.

I have 450 companies and some users should not have access to certain tasks, or modules, in about 15 of those companies.
Prior versions of Sage 100 (mas90/200) allowed this.
I cannot stress the importance of being able to keep specific employees out of sensitive data.
This is a major flaw in the Sage 100 current version.
In Role Maintenance under Security Options for Accounts Payable, if you do not select the option "Allow Viewing, Printing and Editing of Highly Sensitive 1099 Information", then the 1099 Taxpayer ID and Social Security number will be masked in the lookup. There are also options to mask sensitive data in the General Ledger, Payroll and Production Management modules. Although this does not address your main request to hide fields, it does allow you to mask the sensitive data.
