Right now, in order to see what a specific customer buy I have to create a sales order and go to tab 3 (lines), click the red binoculars (customer purchase history). Often times we will be on the phone with our customer and in customer inquiry already, but not taking an actual order. Then they simply ask, "What all do I get from you?" and we have to do the whole sales order routine. It would be nice to have a tab or something to just list what items they buy without going through sales order or running a report.

  • In the upper right hand corner is a button that says contacts, click the dropdown arrow to see items. You can specify a year, then click the flashlight to see what they have purchased.

  • You can also use the search under SO --> Setup menu.

  • We too, would like to see Customer/Item enquiry in more places with more flexible controls.
Keep in mind that both the Customer Sales History flashlight mentioned by Lori and the Customer Last Purchase Maintenance mentioned by Dawn are standard lookups that can be saved in modified form to show what you want and be available in a printed or Excel list you can send to them.
We also modify and save a version of the Sales Order History by Item report to create lists of what they bought. Unfortunately, this report has limited date control.

  • Thanks for the responses, and this is nice, but I am really looking for something that has more info, like dates and quantities as well. I didn't know about this and it is nice to know there is a lesser version of what I'm really looking for that I can use.

  • Same information should be available at RMA entry also.

  • We also would like to have our customer history ex when they bought, qty, price, and description of item.... When you look up on the hourglass on customer maintenance, it gives you history of the items bought by ALL customers and last sold date to anyone in your data base...This information in of no value!!!! We need customer history without having to create a sales order!!!!!
