Currently the information on the Transactions tab in Item Maintenance/Inquiry shows only the transactions dated in the current period, which is specified in Inventory Setup Options. It would be much more efficient to provide an option to allow the end user to determine how many periods worth of transactions to display there by default, AND whether or not to show transactions dated beyond the current period in IM Options.
Many companies don't complete period end processing for anywhere from 1-4 weeks after the end of the month. During that time you always have to click the search button, change the date range and click OK, before you can see all recent transactions. Thats inefficient and too many unnecessary clicks by multiple users every day just to see relevant, recent information. This should work more like the display of invoices in AR and AP, which is based on the Days to Retain Paid Invoices setting in their respective options programs. That would allow management at each company using MAS to determine what current/recent/relevant means to them and to provide their staff with useful information with fewer key strokes/clicks in programs that are used frequently.

I agree that this would be helpful. I have found that the search criteria will hold as I change tabs or accept and enter other items. It clears only when I close the maintenance screen.
I agree...you should have the ability to define the view as a user. Or at least apply logic ie. see all, see current fiscal year, see current fiscal month.
Urgent! We need the enhancement that will default the search criteria on the Inventory transactions tab to “All” instead of the current month.
