The new feature in Sage 100 version 4.5 - Price level by Customer works in Sales order and Sales order invoicing, but it does not flow through to Price Lookup by Customer in Item Inquiry.
This creates a critical problem with a different price seen in the Item Inquiry - to what is viewed in the Sales order or Sales order invoice, if the price level is anything other than what is assigned at the customer maintenance. Only the customer price level assigned at the customer maintenance is recognized at Item Inquiry.
Item inquiry is used to give pricing to customers, so this could potentially create an incorrect price quotation. What is needed is for the price level at the Item Inquiry Customer Price Look up matches the level assigned in the Customer by Price level maintenance.

There is a thread on the Community about this and it appears to be a bug.
I agree, pricing must match across all locations otherwise there is a huge potential for loss of either sales or customers due to inconsistencies.
This is supposed to be fixed in 4.50.6.
