Sage Payment Solutions has a setting on their web portal to allow for authorization of a partial amount of a credit card payment made through Sage 100. They will indicate a successful authorization and return an authorization code, date, etc. The only problem is that there is no indication that this was not for the full amount of the payment in Sage 100. Sage 100 will show a full payment, say $3000, but the customer is only charged for a portion of the payment, say $1000. The only indication of a problem is when you compare the report from the web portal to the report in Sage 100 and it's up to you to find the difference. If Sage Payment Solutions authorizes only a portion of a payment from Sage 100, Sage 100 should immediately warn the user of the shortfall and only allow posting of the portion of the payment authorized, not the full amount.
