I know the item number can be extended from 15 to 30, however once you do that it would not be reversible. Also to print the extend item description on sales order, packing sheet, invoice and purchase order requires the designer and modifying them. This is not an easy task. I’m sure that many other users are facing the same challenge of using abbreviated product description. I would like to see the Standard item number increased perhaps by five characters and the item description increased by 10 additional characters without having to customizing the designer or not being able to reverse the changes.
