Provide some way to release more than one Work Ticket in a batch format. Currently Work Tickets need to be released in Production Management Work Ticket Entry one at a time. This is very time-consuming for end users who release many Work Tickets each day. The old Work Order module had a “Release” Transaction Entry Type to release multiple work orders in a batch. Not having this ability is a major shortcoming in the Production Management module. The “Release” Transaction Entry Type could be done one of two ways: (1) list all Open Work Tickets where you can select all or use Shift-Click or Ctrl-Click to select multiple Work Tickets or (2) allow entry of each Work Ticket Number the user wants to release similar to closing Work Tickets. Either way, the Material Issue batch should include the components for all Work Tickets selected.
This idea is similar to the idea posted by Steve P. over a year ago titled “Work Order Releases - select multiple work orders to release”, but it is classified as Not Planned and only has 14 votes. I created this new idea with correct terminology for the Production Management module to hopefully generate more attention and votes for this issue.
