It would be great to be able to link a sales order for replacement parts to a serialized product that was previously sold.

Having its own tab or have it in a current one on the sales order entry form. It will help link the parts ordered to a product and then be able to pull reports on what was ordered for that serialized product. Would allow for better ideas on problems with products and if it's sold to someone else you know what has been repaired on your product.
