What issue have you had using Microsoft SQL Web Edition? Are you using an Azure Instance with SQL Web? I can't see any technical reasons why it wouldn't work well, but there are licensing issues that likely can't be overcome due to the way Sage connects to SQL server and that may be why its not officially supported.

@Tim T, I have tested Sage 300 with MSSQL Web Edition, and it is running fine. However, I would like Sage to include MSSQL Web Edition in the official Sage 300 Compatibility Guide to ensure it is formally supported and to avoid any ambiguity under the clauses stated in the guide as per following:
"Unlisted platforms not supported: Sage Customer Support Services provide support for Sage 300 only on the platforms listed as supported in this document."
