BIE/BIA does not currently allow for inquiry across MAS 500 companies. One of the Tech Tuesday sessions details a workaround to allow users in a single company to view data in more than one company, but said workaround only works for a single source company, but said workaround only works for a single source company, and does not allow company data visibility to be established by user.

Even though it is a workaround, the process is a very useful way presently to allow access to and analysis of data across multiple MAS500 companies. We have set up several of these for one of our clients and have also leveraged the 'Maintain Business Insights Views' task to set up all of the normally related previews, drill downs, etc. The only issue remaining is the inability to drill down into a maintenance task as the drill down is based on ID rather than key.
Some of my customers want to keep this information separte by company. Therefore, this should be by setting, not across the board.
