In Maintain Items, a customer informed us that they utilize item descriptions which contain the copyright symbol character (circle with an R) via ALT+0174.

The customer also has descriptions which require the unregistered trademark symbol (TM) via ALT+0153; when this character was inserted, TM was replaced with a black bar.

I attempted to incorporate this through Maintain Items and the same black bar occurred. I then updated the field via SQL; in the database, the TM symbol was presented. However, when I went to look up the item in Maintain Items, the same black bar appeared in its place.
