The validation on the return for replacement does not allow a return quantity greater than the original ordered quantity even if the quantity shipped exceeds this amount.

If its shippable it should be returnable. It should restore the original order quantity, dump the full shipment quantity into inventory, and give full credit to the customer.

Presently, you must modify the sales order prior to the RMA.
