There is no option to export data as a formatted (or even unformatted) .xlsx file within the General Ledger Module. The export option in the Cash Management Module offers a "New" Excel (.xlsx) export but in an unformatted version only. This new release of Sage 500 was supposed to be fully compatible with Excel 2007+.
