Create a system that enables banking of hours. Almost all other software has "Banked Time" options available.

  • I agree! This would be beneficial for up to date job costing. At this point we have to manually add any banked hours that employees have worked on job to get an accurate job cost.

  • Federal Law states that all employees need to be paid for the time period in which they worked. Why would/should Sage implement a feature that violates Federal Law?

  • After you have an experience with a "disgruntled employee" who files reports with the Dept of Labor, the Union, etc. and come to know "banking of hours" is illegal, you'll be glad it's not available on the software.

  • In Canada, most provinces allow the employees the opportunity to bank time to be taken in time or paid out at a future date. As an employer, we are legally required to show our employees the accrual of bank time on a pay stub... I have to hand write them in sage and it is easier to manage bank time in Excel than use a "job" called bank time. This change would be WONDERFUL for helping Canadian employers meet payroll legislation/compliance without using Excel on the side :)

  • Banked hours, used for tracking MCA (MT Contractors Association) banked hours. Thru MCA, and employers pays health insurance premiums for their employees at a rate of $5-ish/hour worked. The employee earns 1 banked hour for every hour worked. Each month, 120 hours are taken out of the employee's hour bank to pay for the health insurance. This way, at the end of the year, when we are laying off people, they can continue their insurance using their banked hours.

I don't care if Sage calls it something other than Banked Hours.

  • banking hours is illegal, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise
