I have been in the construction industry cost accounting for 40 years. In 2005 I purchased Master Builder for a new company. At the time of purchase I did not realize that Burden and Overhead numbers were included with the Labor amount shown on job costing reports. The Owner of the new company that I worked for has not been happy with our software since we discovered this. I have never had software that combined burden and overhead with labor. I have had to purchase another software package from Syscon that interfaced with Master Builder (now Sage 100). I would like to pull away from Syscon and let Sage 100 handle this posting for allocations. Is there any plan in the near future to implement? Job costing allocations for burden and overhead by the job should be shown separately and be editable, in the job cost entry window for the 5-2-2 Payroll Record.
