We use report 6-1-3-03 to review Labor costs associated with a specific job. We have discovered that the program takes a percent of ER costs and adds it to the employee’s gross wages to come up with a job cost dollar figure. The percentage of employer cost is based on the employee’s total hours worked per week. This does not provide accurate job labor costs. A burden cost of one hour should be consistently the same. Gross wages plus a specific percent of employer costs. It should not be tied to the number of hours an employee works in a week. In situations where an employee works several different jobs in a week or has overtime on one week and not another, currently the percent booked calculates much higher or lower for the same number of hours and rate of pay.
