When entering information off a daily report it is required to enter regular and overtime pay. However this information may not be readily available or understood. It would be much more user-friendly if the information could be entered as simple time.
For example: the daily report on a job might show an employee worked eight hours at a specific task. However, it does not show that that person worked elsewhere during the day. In reality, when the actual timecard is completed some or all of those eight hours might be Overtime.
If the Supervisor compiling the daily report could simply enter actual hours worked then those hours could be adjusted as Overtime in the actual timecard. If the timecard were adjusted then those hours could be pushed back upstream and the daily report updated.
