In Quickbooks, you can set anything- Chart of Accounts, Vendors, Jobs, Employee, Equipment, etc to an "inactive" status and it would hide it, but not delete it. You just had to select "hide inactive" and it would go away or check mark "include inactive" and it was there...it was that easy. There are so many accounts, etc that I don't want to necessarily delete forever, but I don't want to see them all the time, either. This would be a HUGE upgrade to Sage.

  • I miss a lot of the features from QuickBooks. The lists are so long in Sage because you cannot hide all of the junk.

  • I have not been unable to remove jobs that have equipment that is still in use. When I say still in use. I plan on deleting equipment in my current years to close and remove jobs I have archived, but some of the current jobs are sharing equipment with the closed jobs. The only way around it would be to re allocate the same piece of equipment a new number for each job it is on. Seems a bit excessive.
