When closing out year 2014, with the latest version, I had to close out Payroll before my first payroll in 2015 could be processed. Some time after that I closed out accounting/fiscal year end and now i have two archives for the year 2014. To date there is no way to combine, which makes it confusing for other office personal when searching info from archives.

  • This is how the software used to be since it's inception (when it was Intuit Master Builder).
    Personally I dislike the difference. I understand the benefits of seeing old history like we can now as well as the relative ease of year end (since you don't have to close EVERYTHING before that first payroll) but I don't think the benefits outweigh the many issues with the version 19 change.
