Be able to create subcontracts from rfp's. I can create a PO, but we have to create the subcontracts by hand. We do not use PO's; we use subcontracts.

I echo the comments. 6-11-1 supports TYPE including subcontract. I use subcontracts but very few POs for materials. I want to make sure cost to complete, budget, etc, is all correct, and the only way to do that with subcontracts is to create a subcontract. Also, my General Liability insurance requests subcontracts from ALL subcontractors.. hence it is important to create them. BUT, tracking the bid from subcontractors is tedious. We send all RFP responses to a single email address, but some still get lost. Document control is helpful in this. WHY NOT 6-11-1 OPTIONS>> Create Subcontract. I'd actually like a response.
I agree with Chris B. and Kirk W. Having the functionality to be able to convert RFP's directly to subcontracts would be great. Currently, we don't even use the RFP tool very often because there's no convenient or efficient way to generate a subcontract that includes the scopes, cost codes, and prices. Having this function would be helpful in ensuring no work is lost through cutting and pasting or retyping everything and reducing the duplicate efforts. I'm surprised this isn't a function available.
Our company doesn't use PO's to contract with subs. The contract language is important to be able to include. We use PO's for materials only, not services, labor, or any site work where liability insurance is required.
I too would like a response.
Seems like a logical transition to be able to turn a RFP into a Subcontract.
I support this feature!
Also be able to change vendors before converting or after to show winning bidder. How is this not a function already??
