Your 5-1-5-21 report is good except that it offers the two extremes. You have each employee for every Pay Date PAID and the Summary at the Work Comp code level. Work Comp Auditors routinely want to know about a specific employee for the entire Work Comp period. Having a weekly payroll I would have to add up 52 Weekly entries to get the information that I want.
My request is to add a third middle section to this 5-1-5-21 report Summarizing this information at the employee level for the period and State requested.

I would like to see a selection for this report by Workers Comp Code, listing employees under their Workers Comp Code with a Grand Total for each employee by the date selected and not by each check date paid. Also to include Gross Earnings instead of Taxable Gross Earnings. Auditors do request to see employees by name that are under each code. As is now I must run any number of reports to create my own spreadsheet for Workers Comp audits.
I agree with the above suggestions. Our old accounting software program would print a report summary by date range, by employee, showing regular wages and OT wages. Making this report change would make the workers comp audit go much smoother.
I would like to sort by employee and see totals for that employee for each comp code.
For our workers comp audits, the auditor requests a list of who has worked in the comp codes for the policy period. It would be fabulous if we could drill down on the individual codes with summaries of the EEs that make up the wages in Report 5-1-5-21.
I currently have to export the report to Excel, scroll through to identify weeks that the employee had worked in two classifications and copy the employee and pay period information to the second or third line, then sort by code and sort by employee to get the information grouped and then total by employee and code. I then have to type this information into my own summary report. There has to be a better option for handling this and having a summary by employee the same as an hours report or anything else is summarized by employee in a simple format.
Why hasn't this been fixed? I think every Auditor wants a report that isn't hundreds of pages to get the employee totals by comp code.
