My situation: The people who set up the chart of accounts did not know what they were doing. I have too many transactions accounts in the wrong place. I moved the balances from these unwanted accounts to the correct account to zero-out the unwanted account.

What I want Sage 100 Contractor to do: Be able to "lock" these unwanted accounts so no one in the company, including myself, can post to these unwanted accounts unless it is unlocked. Also, to delete accounts with a zero-balance, not necessarily no activity.

What Sage 100 Contractor does: Can only lock the entire GL, not specific accounts. And can only delete accounts with no activity, not ones with zero balances.
